Identify the MACO family and hinge arrangement

MACO documentation distinguishes MULTI-MATIC and MULTI-TREND components. Multi Power is a concealed hinge side, hidden when the window is closed. These names do not identify one universal spare part.

We check markings on the strip, stay and hinges, opening type and frame material. A cam photograph helps, but dimensions and adjoining connections still need checking. A handle logo does not identify the complete hardware.

Movement and closing pressure are separate checks

For a stiff handle we inspect dirt, wear, sash position and engagement between locking points and keeps. A draught also requires a gasket check. When the sash rubs, its supports and fixings need assessment. Every closing problem does not require increased gasket compression.

  • Stops before closing: check mechanism movement and engagement with keeps.
  • Movement at the handle mounting: examine fixing and gearbox drive.
  • Dropped sash: assess hinges, fixings and position.

Maintenance cannot repair a broken component

We clean accessible working areas and select appropriate maintenance. Visible corrosion needs assessment: making metal shiny does not restore load-bearing ability or correct operation. Cleaning cannot repair a cracked fitting.

Replacement checks include identification, length range, opening direction and adjoining connections. MULTI-MATIC, MULTI-TREND and different hinge sides are not selected by logo alone. We confirm compatible part availability before scheduling work that requires it.

No. The hardware family and hinge-side variant matter when matching replacements. We first identify the assembly actually installed in your window.

Can Multi Power concealed hinges be adjusted?

Adjustment methods and limits depend on the fitted version. We assess it on site instead of transferring settings from a different hinge assembly.

Will lubrication alone make the handle easier to turn?

Maintenance can help with dirt or insufficient suitable lubrication. Incorrect geometry, a cracked component or a drive fault needs a different solution.

What if I can see rust on the hardware?

Contact us to arrange an assessment. You can attach a photo if you have one. We check whether this concerns the surface alone or also affects operation or the components supporting the sash.
