Identify the profile and hardware separately
REHAU develops profile systems for window production. Another company may manufacture the finished window and install separately marked hardware. The logo alone cannot identify a replacement locking strip (espagnolette), hinge or tilt component.
Send accessible profile markings, window labels and markings on metal components along the sash edge. Photograph the whole window to show its opening arrangement. Purchase documents are useful if available.
A stiff handle needs a complete mechanism check
Handle resistance may involve sash alignment, locking points or hardware damage. We assess movement, hinge fixings and sash position. A new handle alone may not solve the fault.
If the sash feels unstable or sticks between opening modes, do not force it. Tell us when the problem started and whether it previously rubbed or closed with difficulty.

Draughts and misted glass need different assessments

Can a photograph of the REHAU logo identify the replacement part?
It identifies the profile-system brand. Hardware components require mechanism photographs and markings, and sometimes measurements during inspection.
Does a stiff handle mean the handle is broken?
Not necessarily. Resistance can come from the hardware or sash alignment. We check these before deciding which component needs replacement.
Will servicing remove moisture between the panes?
No. Cleaning, lubrication and adjustment cannot reseal a failed glass unit. The glazing needs a separate assessment.
Can you inspect an older REHAU-profile window?
Yes. We assess its construction and check suitable parts. Repair options are confirmed individually; availability of every discontinued component cannot be assumed.
