Choose the component by the symptom

The handle operates the mechanism, but resistance can come from the gearbox, sash alignment or locking points. A symptom helps select a topic; the repair itself depends on checking the construction.

What we inspect before repair

We check the handle mounting and movement, operating mechanism, sash position and engagement with the frame strikers. For doors, this also includes the pull-handle mounting and lock operation. We check the complete assembly after the work.

  • Window handles: looseness, cracks, mounting damage or lost drive.
  • Door levers and pull handles: lever movement, secure mounting and lock interaction.
  • Balcony catches: holding a pulled-to, unlocked door in position.
  • Gearboxes and hinges: transmitting movement, guiding and supporting the sash.

Photos help prepare the visit

Send a complete view of the construction, a component close-up and any accessible markings. Describe when the fault occurs and whether the sash catches on the frame. You do not need to know the technical part name.

Dimensions and fixing details are especially important with older systems. A replacement is not selected solely because its outline resembles the damaged part.

Does a balcony pull handle lock the door?

No. The pull handle draws the sash towards the frame; a catch holds it pulled to. Neither replaces a lock.

Can a mounting be repaired without replacing the complete part?

Sometimes. The condition of the mounting, component and construction determines the suitable approach after inspection.

Is the cost agreed before repair?

Yes. We agree the scope and cost after inspection. A preliminary photo discussion is not final confirmation of the parts required.
